For two years our girls have been horse riding at the local riding school in San Pietro a Monte. The school is close to many of Gorgacce Rentals’ Villas in Tuscany & Umbria and it would be hard to find a more beautiful location to go horse riding. From the paddock there are views along the valley towards the Appenines. The horses are very well looked after and the riding school’s owners, Ivan and his daughter Francesca, are excellent instructors, enthusiastic and caring.

Francesca speaks very good English and welcomes anyone who would like to go riding whilst on holiday in the area. It is possible to arrange trekking in the stunning countryside around the riding school, even if you have no riding experience. Boots, hats and back supports are in good supply, so bring your own hard-wearing trousers or jodhpurs.
